I used to grade answers from 1 to 10. My scores drifted: a 7 on Monday was a 6 by Friday. Switching to "which of these two is better, A or B" fixed most of that.
It is slower to set up, but the results are stable, and disagreements with myself become rare enough to be interesting rather than noise.
